What is sodium hyaluronate?
 

Sodium Hyaluronate is a major component of connective tissue such as human interstitial tissue, ocular vitreous body, and articular synovial fluid. It plays important physiological functions such as water retention, maintenance of extracellular space, regulation of osmotic pressure, lubrication, and promotion of cell repair in human body.

Sodium Hyaluronate is widely present in human and animal connective tissue. The acidic mucopolysaccharide macromolecules have important functions in the body, such as maintaining water, regulating osmotic pressure, maintaining tissue morphology, as well as lubrication, diffusion barrier and buffer stress.
