Product Description

 

Boric acid is also called "orthoboric acid". It is derived from the action of natural borax (sodium borate) and acid. The chemical formula is H3BO3. The molecular weight is 61.83. White triclinic scales with shiny crystals. The relative density is 1.43514, and the refractive index is 1.337, 1.461, and 1.462. It is soluble in water, ethanol and glycerin. The aqueous solution is acidic, a weak monobasic acid (Ka=6×10-10). The solubility in water increases with increasing temperature.
